On 18 December, the final conference of the project HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/006 “Zero Waste: Theory for Everybody, Practice for Everyone in the Cross-Border Region”, implemented under the European Neighbourhood Instrument's Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020, took place in the village of Janosi, Ukraine.
"Together for a Better Future" is a meaningful initiative by the Maltese Charitable Organization of Berehove and the Hungarian Charitable Service of the Order of Malta (Hungary) funded by the European Union within the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 ENI CBC programme focused on supporting young people affected by war, and providing humanitarian aid.
On 28 November, 2023 First Contact Centre Michalovce officially launched operation of the first four electric vehicle charging stations in the locations of Šamudovce - Community Centre, Michalovce - VK Trade Business Centre and Thermalpark Zemplínska Šírava, built within the implementation of the project "GreenWheels: Ecotransport of the Future - Today !".

Ceremonial signature of the Grant Contract for project HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/006 „Zero Waste” took place in the premise of the Széchenyi Programme Office Nonprofit LLC on 21 December, 2022. The two-year "Health4all! Capacity building in the health care system providing for children with special needs" HUSKROUA project had been successfully implemented. In frame of the project, in addition to providing early development, the Hidden Treasures Down Syndrome Association undertook the care of children with special needs, the training of professionals, exchange of experiences, the creation and renovation of inclusive spaces and the support of families across the border in cooperation with the Malteser Charity Organization in Bereghovo Region.
The need to increase the interest of the younger generation in the state of the environment requires a comprehensive approach to the development of environmental skills. In the framework of the EFFUSE project funded through the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, a field trip with pupils and teachers in the Laborec river basin was carried out on 12 April 2022 in order to raise the level of environmental literacy.

Controlled burning can reduce huge volumes of garbage into – literally – a handful of ashes. Waste combustion is often preferred as the alternative to waste landfilling. But what is most important, it allows to recover energy from the burning process – either in the form of electricity and/or heat – that can further be used in homes and businesses. The EnyMSW project has worked on the development of this idea for the border regions of Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

WWF Romania - Maramureș branch organized international camp "Exploring connectivity in our Region, Maramureș", an event held within the project "Open borders for wildlife in the Carpathians", www.openbordersforbears.com. The project aims to identify and secure the network of cross-border ecological corridors as well as the populations of large carnivores (bear, wolf, lynx) in the HUSKROUA Carpathians.

The Town of Seini, partner in "CODE VDIC - Common Development of Volunteer Disaster Intervention Capability" project, conducted a local training for volunteers of the Volunteer Service for Emergency Situations Seini, training that was organized in two stages: theoretical and practical.
Opening conference of the project "SMAR.T.OURISM – THE THEMATIC ROUTE OF CASTLES", HUSKROUA/1901/3.1/0020 took place on July 15th and 16th, 2021. Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association is the lead beneficiary of the project, and two partner organizations from Ukraine are: Communal Enterprise “Agency of Regional Development and Cross-Border Cooperation “Transcarpathia” of Zakarpattya Oblast Council”, and Onokivska Village Council. Project duration is 24 months, starting with June 1, 2021.

The words belonged to a teenager from Seini Agricultural high school who participated in the intercultural activity Ukrainian Folk Art workshop held within the project "Culture in the mirror - restoration of bay house in Seini (RO) and concert hall in Kalush (UA) into multicultural centers" between July 5-8, 2021 in Kalush, Ukraine.

Regional Tourist Association (TAIF) announces a contest of youth initiatives to raise environmental awareness for communities inhabitants. To participate in the competition are invited: youth, initiative groups, public activists, preschool, secondary and higher education institutions. The advantage will be given to organizations, institutions and initiative groups from communities covering settlements with the mountain status of Kosivsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kalusky, Kolomyysky, Nadvirnyansky and Verkhovyna districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Partners in four countries (WWF-Romania, RakhivEcoTour Ukraine, Aggtelek National Park Administration Hungary and SOS BirdLife Slovakia) and multi-level stakeholders embarked in a dynamic journey called “Open borders for wildlife in the Carpathians” to design and secure transboundary ecological connectivity between habitats. They started this journey to prevent and/ or reverse the trends of diminishing wildlife population. This will furthermore support the maintenance of ecosystem functions and services, for the benefit of local communities and society in general.

Construction works started within the project “Strengthening of Cross-border Safety by Joint Measures aimed at Flood and Inland Water Prevention in the Interfluves of Tisza-Tur Rivers” (SAFETISZA) at the end of 2019 for reconstruction of the left-bank dam of Tisza River in the area between Tekovo village and Gotenya village (Vynohradiv district) are being performed by contracted organisation in 2020.
The Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk Region started construction works to establish an outdoor forest wildlife education area – Wildlife Pavilion – near Vyhoda village of Ivano-Frankivsk Region. The works are carried out within the project "Carpathian Forest Schools - Pilot Cooperation for Nature Conservation and Environmental Education" implemented by the Association in partnership with the Administration of Maramures Mountains Nature Park, Dolyna district state administration and Vyhoda Village Council.
On September 24, 2020 Satu Mare County Museum organized “Promoting the rural landscape” workshop bringing together all those who promote cultural tourism in Satu Mare County, namely representatives of: Satu Mare County Council – tourism department, Satu Mare City Hall, GM Zamfirescu Multicultural Center, Ardud City Hall, Directorate for Culture and Sports of Carei City Hall, Negrești Oaș Museum and House of Culture, Satu Mare Chamber of Commerce, Borókagyökér Association, Orașu Nou Tourist Information Center, Tarna Mare City Hall, travel agencies. The event was held within the project “Culture connect - cultural mobility in the border area” implemented by Satu Mare County Museum in partnership with Slovak National Museum – Museum of Ukrainian Culture in Svidnik and Transcarpathian museum of folk architecture and life of Transcarpathian regional Council.
In Ivano-Frankivsk, 2 charging stations for electric vehicles have been installed as part of “Cross-border Green Transport Network" (CGTN) project. In order to encourage residents and guests of the city to actively use vehicles with low emissions and noise, electric car owners can now use abovementioned charging stations free of charge.
The Greek Catholic Eparchy of Mukachevo (Uzhhorod, Ukraine) withtin the project “Restore your common history and cultural heritage” (No HUSKROUA/1702/3.1/0130) intends to carry out restoration works at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross (Uzhhorod, Zakarpatska oblast, Ukraine) and, in order to award the contract, announces an open tender on the terms set out in the attached Work Contract Notice.
The role of this platform is to bring together relevant stakeholders from target countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine) who want to actively contribute to project related documents, mainly to: i) the harmonized methodology for identifying and designating the ecological corridors of cross-border interest, ii) the monitoring report on large carnivores (bear, wolf, lynx), iii) the set of management measures for ecological corridors of transboundary interest.

On 24 April 2018, the Regional Operational and Crisis Centre of the Ministry of Interior of Slovak Republic seated in Košice, Slovakia was visited by Estelle Carrelet de Loisy, Programme Manager from the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission. The Centre got EU funding within two projects implemented during three years (2013-2016) in frame of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI CBC Programme 2007-2013.
