On 18 December, the final conference of the project HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/006 “Zero Waste: Theory for Everybody, Practice for Everyone in the Cross-Border Region”, implemented under the European Neighbourhood Instrument's Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020, took place in the village of Janosi, Ukraine.

"Together for a Better Future" is a meaningful initiative by the Maltese Charitable Organization of Berehove and the Hungarian Charitable Service of the Order of Malta (Hungary) funded by the European Union within the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 ENI CBC programme focused on supporting young people affected by war, and providing humanitarian aid.

On 28 November, 2023 First Contact Centre Michalovce officially launched operation of the first four electric vehicle charging stations in the locations of Šamudovce - Community Centre, Michalovce - VK Trade Business Centre and Thermalpark Zemplínska Šírava, built within the implementation of the project "GreenWheels: Ecotransport of the Future - Today !".

On the 4th of October, 2023 the Closing Conference for the project HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/003 "Strengthening of cross-border safety by joint measures aimed at flood and inland water prevention in the interfluves of Tisza-Tur rivers" took place.

Agency for sustainable development of the Carpathian region “FORZA” - Ukrainian Beneficiary of the "Roads to healthy forests: resilient, adaptive, diverse and sustainable forests in the cross-border region of Ukraine and Slovakia", HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/009 project, announced the open tender for the construction of Administrative-office building of the “Forest and Climate” Demonstration and Education Center.

Workshop for public “Underwater” took place on September, 29, 2023 within the project "Environment for the Future by Scientific Education" on public place in the area of shopping center OC OPTIMA in Košice.

The final conference of the project "Discovering and Preservation of Jewish Cultural Heritage on Cross Border area" (JCulture) was held on July 18, 2023 in Ivano-Frankivsk.

The Green event “Cruise on the Bodrog River” took place on 12th of June, 2023 within the HUSKROUA/1901/6.1/0075 "Environment for the Future by Scientific Education" project.

On June 8, project launching conference took place in the village of Yanoshi, Berehiv District uniting representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Economy and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, the Ministry of Energy of Hungary, Hungary Slovakia Romania Ukraine Cross Border Cooperation programme, representatives of diplomatic missions of Ukraine and Hungary, deputies of various levels, leadership of the Transcarpathian region (Ukraine) and the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county (Hungary), heads of local territorial communities, representatives of public organizations and media.

National University of Uzhhorod together with the Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice organized an international scientific and practical "EFFUSE" conference within the framework of the project "Environment for the Future through Science Education".

On May 31, 2023 in the premises of the hotel Thermal Šírava SPA RESORT took place an international seminar organized in the framework of "GreenWheels: Ecotransport of the Future - Today!" project implementation. 

Workshop for public “Color-full world of plants and animals” took place on May 26, 2023 at Pavol Jozef Šafarik University within the "Environment for the Future by Scientific Education" project. 

On June 8, 2023, the Launching Conference within the project "ZeroWaste: Theory for Everybody, Practice for Everyone in the Cross-Border Region" will be held in the village of Yanoshi, Berehiv District. 

The long awaited event took place on April 12, 2023 at the Palace of culture and arts in Mukachevo. Public screenings start on April 15, 2023.

The "Best Practices in Antibiotic Therapy" guide is available for free download on the Crest Association website and contains concrete measures to improve in-hospital protocols to reduce microbial resistance and prevent drug-resistant infections associated with hospital care.

On February 28, International Day of Rare Diseases, an important event took place within SK UA CF CARE project in Prykarpattia - opening of the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center on the basis of the pulmonology department of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. 

Tisza River Basin Water Resources Directorate, project partner within the TiszaMonitorNet project, announces the open tender in PROZORRO public electronic procurement system for the purchase of 12 sets of automated meteorological stations and weather equipment for stationary observation posts of the flood protection system "AIVS Tysa" with the total value up to 316 599,18 EUR.

First monitoring visit to the place of construction of a waste sorting plant in the village of Yanoshi, in Beregiv region took place on January 19, 2023 within the HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/006 “Zero Waste: Theory for Everybody, Practice for Everyone in the Cross-Border Region” project.

The first official meeting took place in Uzhgorod, Zakartpattya with the Head of Zakarpattya County Council Mr. Volodymyr Chubyrko and the Head of the Zakarpattya Regional Military Administration Mr. Viktor Mykyta. Meeting was devoted to the project HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/006 “Zero Waste: Theory for Everybody, Practice for Everyone in the Cross-Border Region” and support to its implementation on the regional level in Zakarpattya. 

Ceremonial signature of the Grant Contract for project HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/006 „Zero Waste” took place in the premise of the Széchenyi Programme Office Nonprofit LLC on 21 December, 2022. The project has strategic priority and focusing on reduction of pollution in Ukraine (Zakarpattya region) by establishment of waste management facilities in Zakarpattya region and raising awareness for changing in people attitude.

Ceremonial handing over of a renewed emergency patient care department in the St. Damjan Greek Catholic Hospital took place in Kisvárda on 16th of December, 2022 within the "Cross-border cooperation for the care of high-risk patients" project.

Organ blessing celebration was held in the Our Lady of the Hungarians Co-Cathedral, in Nyíregyháza on December 11, 2022, the third Sunday of Advent.

Between November 23-25, an exchange of experience organized within the project "SMAR.T.OURISM - THEMATIC ROUTE OF CASTLES", HUSKROUA/1901/3.1/0020, took place in Satu Mare. The exchange of experience was attended by 16 participants from Ukraine representing institutions with duties in the field of culture, promotion of cultural heritage, tourism agencies.

On November 22, the grand opening of the reconstructed protective dike of the Tisza River took place between the villages of Tekovo and Hetenya of Berehiv district (Ukraine) within the framework of the project "Strengthening of cross-border safety by joint measures aimed at flood and inland water prevention in the interfluves of Tisza-Tur rivers" (SAFETISZA) 

The series of 10 excursions to remarkable places of historical and cultural Jewish heritage of Ivano-Frankivsk "Jews of Stanislavov. Who are they? About life, customs and their mark in the history of the city" has come to an end. 

The handed over E-charging station was installed within the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 "GreenWheels" project, financed by the European Union and supported by the Hungarian Government.

The iconostasis of the church was restored within the HUSKROUA/1702/3.1/0040 project "Culture connect - cultural mobility in the border area", a project that aims to promote cultural tourism in three neighboring regions: Presov Region, Slovakia, Transcarpathia Region, Ukraine and Satu Mare County Mare, Romania.

The two-year "Health4all! Capacity building in the health care system providing for children with special needs" HUSKROUA project had been successfully implemented. In frame of the project, in addition to providing early development, the Hidden Treasures Down Syndrome Association undertook the care of children with special needs, the training of professionals, exchange of experiences, the creation and renovation of inclusive spaces and the support of families across the border in cooperation with the Malteser Charity Organization in Bereghovo Region.

The need to increase the interest of the younger generation in the state of the environment requires a comprehensive approach to the development of environmental skills. In the framework of the EFFUSE project funded through the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, a field trip with pupils and teachers in the Laborec river basin was carried out on 12 April 2022 in order to raise the level of environmental literacy. 
 

On March 8, 2022 Information Day took place within the "Environment for the future of scientific education" project implemented with the financial support of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020. 

CREST ASSOCIATION intends to award three supply contracts in the project "SIGMED RO-UA – COOPERATION FOR PATIENTS’ SAFETY": "PACKAGE OF AUTOMATIC ANTIBIOGRAM EQUIPMENT AND EQUIPMENT FOR HEMOCULTURE IN INTENSIVE THERAPY", "PORTABLE PULMONARY VENTILATORS" and "DEFIBRILATORS" , in Romania, Satu Mare and Maramures counties, with financial assistance from the European Union, through the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, thematic objective 8. TO - Common challenges in the field of safety and security, programme priority 8.2 Support to the development of health.

Controlled burning can reduce huge volumes of garbage into – literally – a handful of ashes. Waste combustion is often preferred as the alternative to waste landfilling. But what is most important, it allows to recover energy from the burning process – either in the form of electricity and/or heat – that can further be used in homes and businesses. The EnyMSW project has worked on the development of this idea for the border regions of Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

On February 16-18^th, 2022 an experience sharing session was organized by the KIÚT Regional Development Association (Hungary) as the part of project 'BioSecurity - joint action in emergency situations in case of the identification of dangerous and widespread infections in Carpathian region', implemented with the financial support of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020. 

On February 01, 2022, State Enterprise "Vygoda Forestry" - the Ukrainian Beneficiary of the "Roads to healthy forests: resilient, adaptive, diverse and sustainable forests in the cross-border region of Ukraine and Slovakia", HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/009 project,  announced the open tender in PROZORRO public electronic procurement system for the construction of forest protection infrastructure in Svichivske Forestry with the total value up to 550,000 EURO.

More than 200 participants (project partners, professionals and volunteers) gathered for the Closing Event and Final Exercise of the „CODE VDIC - Common Development of Volunteer Disaster Intervention Capability" (HUSKROUA/1702/8.1/0035) project on the 15th of September 2021 in Sátoraljaújhely and surrounding areas, Hungary. 

WWF Romania - Maramureș branch organized international camp "Exploring connectivity in our Region, Maramureș", an event held within the project "Open borders for wildlife in the Carpathians", www.openbordersforbears.com. The project aims to identify and secure the network of cross-border ecological corridors as well as the populations of large carnivores (bear, wolf, lynx) in the HUSKROUA Carpathians.

In the beginning of October, a 4-days cycling event is taking place along SK-UA border (on the SK side) within the BIKE ACCENT: BICYCLE ACCESSIBILITY NETWORKING TERRITORIES project.

The Town of Seini, partner in "CODE VDIC - Common Development of Volunteer Disaster Intervention Capability" project, conducted a local training for volunteers of the Volunteer Service for Emergency Situations Seini, training that was organized in two stages: theoretical and practical.
 

Opening conference of the project "SMAR.T.OURISM – THE THEMATIC ROUTE OF CASTLES", HUSKROUA/1901/3.1/0020 took place on July 15th and 16th, 2021. Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association is the lead beneficiary of the project, and two partner organizations from Ukraine are: Communal Enterprise “Agency of Regional Development and Cross-Border Cooperation “Transcarpathia” of Zakarpattya Oblast Council”, and Onokivska Village Council. Project duration is 24 months, starting with June 1, 2021.

”It was the best experience I have ever had” were the words overheard in the bus. The words belonged to a teenager from Seini Agricultural high school who participated in the intercultural activity Ukrainian Folk Art workshop held within the project "Culture in the mirror - restoration of bay house in Seini (RO) and concert hall in Kalush (UA) into multicultural centers" between July 5-8, 2021 in Kalush, Ukraine. 

Cross-Border Tent Camp took place in between June 30 - July 3, 2021 on the territory of Maramures Mountain Natural Park in the framework of the project "Carpathian Forest Schools - Pilot Cooperation for Nature Conservation and Environmental Education".

This year, International Museum Day, 18th of May, had a powerful slogan: “The future of museums: Recover and Reimagine”. On this occasion, in the framework of "Culture Connect - Cultural Mobility in the Border Area" project, Satu Mare County Museum together with The Museum of Ukrainian Culture in Svidnik (Slovakia) and Transcarpathian museum of folk architecture and life of the Transcarpathian regional Council (Uzhgorod, Ukraine) launched a mobile application – COOLMUSEUMS.

Regional Tourist Association (TAIF) announces a contest of youth initiatives to raise environmental awareness for communities inhabitants. To participate in the competition are invited: youth, initiative groups, public activists, preschool, secondary and higher education institutions. The advantage will be given to organizations, institutions and initiative groups from communities covering settlements with the mountain status of Kosivsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kalusky, Kolomyysky, Nadvirnyansky and Verkhovyna districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Partners in four countries (WWF-Romania, RakhivEcoTour Ukraine, Aggtelek National Park Administration Hungary and SOS BirdLife  Slovakia) and multi-level stakeholders embarked in a dynamic journey called “Open borders for wildlife in the Carpathians” to design and secure transboundary ecological connectivity between habitats. They started this journey to prevent and/ or reverse the trends of diminishing wildlife population. This will furthermore support the maintenance of ecosystem functions and services, for the benefit of local communities and society in general. 

The 8th issue of Scientific Collection of Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life contains materials from the workshop "Museum and Tourism" held as part of "Culture Connect - Cultural Mobility in the Border Area" project.

St. Nicholas visited the Department of Children's Oncology and Hematology of the Children's Faculty Hospital in Košice early this year. New medical equipment was purchased  within the "Joint Initiative to improve the quality of life of children with oncological diseases in the Transcarpathian, Košice and Prešov regions" project funded within ENI CBC "Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020" Programme.

Informational Centre for Innovations and Development “NOVUM” (Uzhhorod, Ukraine) within the project “Through Art we Ruin Borders” (HUSKROUA/1702/3.1/0042) intends to carry out arrangement of premises for the needs of municipal gallery and tourist information center in Uzhhorod (Zakarpattia oblast, Ukraine) and, in order to award the contract announces an open tender on the terms set out in the attached Supply Contract Notice.

Scientific monograph "Castles of Transcarpathia: from Borzhava to the Tisza (fortifications on the Salt Way)" will now complement the shelves of Transcarpathian libraries, universities, scientific communities and more. It is expected that electronic repositories will be replenished with the monograph in the nearest future as well.

Bicycle is a trend. Today, October 1, 2020 "BikeAccent: bicycle accessibility unites territories" project team shared the concept and first results achieved within its implementation in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Construction works started within the project “Strengthening of Cross-border Safety by Joint Measures aimed at Flood and Inland Water Prevention in the Interfluves of Tisza-Tur Rivers” (SAFETISZA) at the end of 2019 for reconstruction of the left-bank dam of Tisza River in the area between Tekovo village and Gotenya village (Vynohradiv district) are being performed by contracted organisation in 2020.

The Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk Region started construction works to establish an outdoor forest wildlife education area – Wildlife Pavilion – near Vyhoda village of Ivano-Frankivsk Region. The works are carried out within the project "Carpathian Forest Schools - Pilot Cooperation for Nature Conservation and Environmental Education" implemented by the Association in partnership with the Administration of Maramures Mountains Nature Park, Dolyna district state administration and Vyhoda Village Council.

On September 24, 2020 Satu Mare County Museum organized “Promoting the rural landscape” workshop bringing together all those who promote cultural tourism in Satu Mare County, namely representatives of: Satu Mare County Council – tourism department, Satu Mare City Hall, GM Zamfirescu Multicultural Center, Ardud City Hall, Directorate for Culture and Sports of Carei City Hall, Negrești Oaș Museum and House of Culture, Satu Mare Chamber of Commerce, Borókagyökér Association, Orașu Nou Tourist Information Center, Tarna Mare City Hall, travel agencies. The event was held within the project “Culture connect - cultural mobility in the border area” implemented by Satu Mare County Museum in partnership with Slovak National Museum – Museum of Ukrainian Culture in Svidnik and Transcarpathian museum of folk architecture and life of Transcarpathian regional Council.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, 2 charging stations for electric vehicles have been installed as part of “Cross-border Green Transport Network" (CGTN) project. In order to encourage residents and guests of the city to actively use vehicles with low emissions and noise, electric car owners can now use abovementioned charging stations free of charge.

The Greek Catholic Eparchy of Mukachevo (Uzhhorod, Ukraine) withtin the project “Restore your common history and cultural heritage” (No HUSKROUA/1702/3.1/0130) intends to carry out restoration works at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross (Uzhhorod, Zakarpatska oblast, Ukraine) and, in order to award the contract, announces an open tender on the terms set out in the attached Work Contract Notice.

The role of this platform is to bring together relevant stakeholders from target countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine) who want to actively contribute to project related documents, mainly to: i) the harmonized methodology for identifying and designating the ecological corridors of cross-border interest, ii) the monitoring report on large carnivores (bear, wolf, lynx), iii) the set of management measures for ecological corridors of transboundary interest.

Following the open tender procedure the Beneficiary hereby announces the launch of tenders within project HUSKROUA/1702/8.2/105.

On 24 April 2018, the Regional Operational and Crisis Centre of the Ministry of Interior of Slovak Republic seated in Košice, Slovakia was visited by Estelle Carrelet de Loisy, Programme Manager from the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission. The Centre got EU funding within two projects implemented during three years (2013-2016) in frame of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI CBC Programme 2007-2013.
